We are proud to announce that Focus MEP has officially joined the Living Wage and Living Hours Scheme in Wales! This is an important step in our ongoing commitment to fair pay and a supportive working environment for all of our employees.


At Focus MEP, we believe that every individual deserves to be paid fairly for their hard work, which is why we’ve joined the Living Wage Foundation. By becoming a Living Wage employer, we are committing to pay all our staff a wage that reflects the real cost of living, ensuring that our employees are able to meet their everyday needs and maintain a good standard of living.


Alongside the Living Wage, we’ve also committed to Living Hours. This means we will provide our employees with predictable and secure working hours, allowing them to plan their lives with confidence and peace of mind.


What is the Living Wage?


The Living Wage is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that is designed to reflect the true cost of living. It is higher than the National Minimum Wage and aims to ensure that workers can afford the essentials such as food, housing, and transport.


The Living Wage Foundation is a movement of businesses and organisations that believe that work should be the route out of poverty. The foundation provides accreditation to employers who meet its standards, ensuring that they are paying employees a wage that allows them to live with dignity.



Why is Living Hours Important?


Living Hours ensures that employees have predictable, stable hours of work, which is essential for financial security and personal well-being. By committing to Living Hours, we can help eliminate the uncertainty that many workers face when their hours fluctuate unpredictably.
